Ernest Shackleton sailed on the appropriately named Endurance not Endeavour. I think Captain Cook was with Endeavour -but he had the good sense to target his explorations in warmer climates whilst drinking lots of lime juice. The only correction is that Shackleton's ship for the 1914-1917 Antarctic expedition was not named 'Endeavor', but 'Endurance' - a very fitting name considering how the expedition panned out!
